“The support received from you and everyone at Sigma is a true testimony of your values. We are fortunate to have found a group such as Sigma Contracting.”
Tim Patton, Mashco
Are you interested in going green? Sigma is committed to sustainability. Our commitment includes employing several LEED accredited professionals to help guide your project toward LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification.
As an example of our commitment, Sigma is currently the Project Manager for the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center for The Salvation Army, a 140,000 square foot project targeted for LEED silver certification.
LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system that provides third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.
LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in the key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water efficiency/savings, energy efficiency/savings, materials selection, improved indoor environmental quality and stewardship of resources as well sensitivity to the impacts of the process. LEED provides building owners with the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings’ performance. Sigma’s construction experience and expertise, and LEED Accredited Professionals on staff will assist in achieving sustainability project goals.
